Suctioning takes place in a floating condition. This gripper is suitable whenever deformations or contact is undesirable. It is simply ideal for sensitive materials (paper, foil, printed circuit boards). For contact-free applications the rubber buffers of SSG40 and SSG60 can be removed (no more shear forces possible).
