- Noise reduction by 20 dB

When compressed air escapes, it sizzles. The noise can be as high as 100 dB and can damage the hearing. The trade association has enacted stringent regulations regarding this matter. One more reason to use a silent air nozzle. Depending on the pressure, the sound of the 20 dB can be reduced down to 20 dB without a loss in pressure. A special air duct utilitzes the pressure more effectively. The nozzle can be regulated with the adjustment screw at the rear (fine threading M12 x 0.75), saving the cost for a throttle valve.
To curb the noise created by the escaping compressed air the air jet is directed through 4 - 7 output holes, resulting in reduced noise. The different models (round, flat, crossways, and bendable) can be ordered either with inside or outside threads. The different fittings can be connected to metal hoses, blow pistols, etc.
Heat-resistance up to 150 °C.

Information: The Sommer Silent Air Nozzle is an original and we applied for a patent way back in 1974. It has been copied often, all the way down to the promotional text.
